Grid-code claim
RoCoF withstand: ±2 Hz/s at the point of connection, without disconnecting or shutting down; per Figure 3, RoCoF is calculated from two 200 ms frequency-averaging windows offset by 20 ms (df/dt = (average value 2 - average value 1)/0.020)

Very solid course for anyone looking to learn more on topics ranging from cell chemistries, battery supply chain, PCS, BMS, technical specs, BESS controls, grid forming vs following inverters, various revenue streams and PPAs, what makes a project “bankable” and understanding the various risk allocations and financial structures. Working primarily in sales/biz development I really appreciated the level of technical detail that was presented in addition to the deep dive into the commercial and financial aspect of the BESS market.

It is structured in three layers: a free reference used by engineers worldwide, one core course covering the whole system, and specialist deep dives for the decisions engineers, developers and asset managers actually have to make.
Sergey Syrvachev is Director of Product Engineering at HyperStrong, a grid-scale BESS integrator, and has worked in energy and product engineering since 2010 and in battery storage since 2020.
